What do I need to bring to register a new ATV, snowmobile or watercraft?

Dealer sale: Purchase agreement (or document showing sales tax was paid at the dealer)
Private Sale: Bill of sale, and previous owner’s registration. If the registration is not available, please bring the ME number (registration number on the side of the recreational vehicle) and the serial number.

1. Where can I register my ATV, snowmobile or watercraft online?: You can register ATVs, snowmobiles, and watercraft at the Town Office or by visiting the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Website.

2. What do I need to bring to register a new ATV, snowmobile or watercraft?

Dealer sale: Purchase agreement (or document showing sales tax was paid at the dealer)
Private Sale: Bill of sale, and previous owner’s registration. If the registration is not available, please bring the ME number (registration number on the side of the recreational vehicle) and the serial number.

3. What do I need to bring to renew a new ATV, snowmobile or watercraft?: Previous registration is all that is required.

4. When to ATVs, snowmobiles and watercrafts expire?

ATVs: June 30th
Snowmobiles: June 30th
Watercraft: December 31st
