The Veazie Town Office can process re-registrations as well as new registrations as long as the registrant's registration or privilege to register is not under suspension and the registrant is not required to file an SR22 certificate of insurance with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

To use this service, you will need:

  • Your current vehicle registration
  • Your State of Maine insurance card
  • Your vehicle's current mileage
  • A printer

Vanity Plates

Vanity plates are only available through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. You must first pay your excise tax at the Veazie Town Office then go to the Bangor office located at the Airport Mall on Union Street.

New Registration - Dealer Sale

  • Purchase agreement (or document showing sales tax was paid at the dealer)
  • Title application
  • Odometer reading
  • Current State of Maine insurance card for the new vehicle
  • Window sticker (brand new vehicles only)

New Registration - Private Sale

  • Bill of sale
  • Previous owner’s title signed over to new owner (vehicles 15 years old and newer)
  • Odometer reading
  • Current State of Maine insurance card

New Registration - Transfer

  • Registration of vehicle transferring plates from
  • Bill of sale
  • Previous owner’s title signed over to new owner (vehicles 15 years old and newer)
  • Odometer reading
  • Current State of Maine insurance card

Note: If the proper paperwork is not provided you will be directed to the proper agency to correct the issue. Proof of insurance is needed for all motor vehicle registrations, you will be asked to contact your insurance company to obtain this proof if it is not presented at the time of registration. The insurance card may be faxed to the Town Office prior to coming in to register the vehicle.
