Following is an interesting link that was on a brochure I picked up at the Cold Weather Stormwater Conference in Portland.
The brochure and web page lists several steps to create a lush lawn at minimal cost and with minimal environmental impact. Unfortunately, it is targeted to the Casco Bay area only. Should someone from the Bangor area Stormwater Group contact the state Dept. of Agriculture and ask them to modify this somewhat to address generic stormwater concerns? A slightly modified page may help with the public education requirement and could be used as a link on our individual community web pages.
